How to Play a Guitar Fast

Learn and Master Guitar is probably the best guitar training course out there for someone that is really serious about learning guitar.  This is definitely not the course for the casual guitar player that is just looking for a hobby.

The course is physically quite large.  You will receive a complete lesson book, 10 or an optional 20 instructional “session” DVDs, and 5 play along CDs, and there is also more material available online.  The company has produced a very high quality product.  The instruction is first rate, and the DVDs and CDs are of incredibly good quality, which is a pleasant surprise.  There is also a “Home School Edition” available that includes a Teacher’s Guide and 2 DVDs, to help parents direct their children through the course.

Learn and Master Guitar provides customer support by both telephone and email, and also offers free online support.  Students can post questions on a “members only” forum website, and also communicate with other students to discuss their progress and questions. Unlike many online companies, you can actually get a customer representative on the phone during normal business hours, and they are courteous and well informed.

The reason that this program is not the “First Choice” is because although an incredibly good program, it is also not inexpensive.  Learn and Master Guitar is worth the price, but it may not be appropriate for everyone.  If you are dedicated and serious about your guitar playing, this is the program for you.  If you are a parent looking for a first guitar course for your child between age 6 and 10, the information could be overwhelming and you might want to reconsider.  However, if you plan on working with your child the “Home School Edition” of the program is a great application.
