im a beginner, i paid 85 bucks for estaban lessons dvd and this is by far the best video i have found, hope you have more, i like the way you have it up close so i can see the strings.. your a great teacher. Im a bad student lol, but you are a great help.. can you make some more videos? very simple ones, like can you make some with maybe 2 basic chords at a time so my brain can get it all in?? LOL

well when I decided to do these lessons I was not thinking it threw. I was just grabbing a video camera and demonstrating where to place your fingers for the basic chords. My guitar is tuned a half step down because I play a lot of jimi hendrix for fun. Since he tunes a half step down my guitar is tuned a half step down also.
Just get the finger placement and you will be playing the right chord. There are tons of lessons online now so it should be easy.

you are an idiot, I played music professionally for years and have recorded with some of the best producers and engineers in Nashville. You want to act like you know what your talking about but you are talking out your ass and the only people that would think you know anything are beginners that don’t know enough about music to realize what a dumb ass you actually are. Has anyone noticed that the “B” chord in this video is not a B. In fact that funny little counting the alphabet thing isn’t even write. The notes in an A chord are A E and C#. the A is an open string. So that means the E you were playing (and called an A) is on the D string. SOOOOOOO if we “count the alphabet” we go E, F, F#. The chord you are playing there is stacked F#, B, D#. Now this chord is a B, but it is an inversion of a B chord. If you’re going to teach please don’t teach wrong.

Different guitars can sound different even if they are tuned to the same key
Thank you for putting up these videos I can’t afford lessons but I need to learn asap to play acoustic on sets.. (im a singer) so I appreciate u taking the time to make the videos =] people don’t get that u don’t learn guitar overnight! It takes practice and calloused fingers lol plus a shitload of passion =]

Thing is different people like to learn different ways.
Some people can understand my videos but have hard time with others and visa/versa

@MsKatycupcake If you are having a hard time with his teaching methods, then just stop arguing with the guy and go to another video. There is no point in fighting a winless battle. If he has had success teaching his way, then there is no stopping him. Plus, if you yourself don’t know how to play the guitar, how would you know if he’s good or bad to begin with? He must be better than you, or else you wouldn’t be watching his video.
