@beenay18 Dude, there are all you need… BTW I downloaded all that shit. They learn you ear training what most of teachers/dvd’s don’t.

@UkeOfEarl
No I was not paid to do this review. I own this course and a copy of the new Gibson’s Learn & Master course which I paid for. I do have a website where I participate in their affiliate program and do receive compensation for sales that I send them, however they did not pay me for it. I disclose quite clearly on my website that I could receive compensation if people choose to purchase via my site. You can follow the link below the video to see what I mean.

Awesome video. Very thorough review. This should be featured on the Learn & Master Guitar website.

@CityVilleCheatGuide thanks hope you decided to give the course a try. They released a new version with far better video quality and some new jam tracks.

@scruffybagger i got the expanded edition and it has the original 10 dvds, then for each of the original dvds there is a bonus workshop dvd. the bonus workshop dvds go through more exercises which are typically more difficult and they also give you aditional songs to play. sesion 1-4 are all learning the notes and how to read music, but from session 5 and on you will learn all sorts of chords, fingerstyle, how to solo, scales, hammers ons and pull offs and everthying else you need to play well

you can just download this, by the way i think the songs chosen are a bit cheesy for people who don’t live in the US, they are pretty patriotic and all. the guy who teaches you is also a christian. not that that matters

Good review, dude. Just bought it today and saved 100 bucks cause of the New Year discount….can’t wait to finally learn guitar without any gaps. I taught myself the guitar but taking tips from here and there just left me with gaps in strumming, time, rythme and music theory :/ hopefully it’ll cover that 😀 😀

There were 20 sessions on your 10 DVDs and there are still 20 sessions on the newer 20 DVDs. Sounds like they just made the sessions longer. Worries me that you’re half way through the course before you learn how to strum basic open chords. I am reluctant to spring for the cost of the system based on what I’ve seen.

@GuitarLessonsReview As an ignorant American, the only reason that I was aware of Newfoundland’s lost half hour is because I used to watch a Newfie television show called “Codco.”

@Hoopermazing Nope just Newfoundland. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island are all the same.

@GuitarLessonsReview Sweet. Are you far enough east to be a half an hour off from the rest of the world… or is that just Newfoundland?

@AZNpwnage21 Unfortunately Learn and Master Guitar won’t cover speed or shredding. If you’re looking for some good lessons that will cover speed, shredding and metal I’d consider JamPlay. You can sign up for just one month and watch a few of their lessons on these topics and then decide if it is what you’re looking for.

does this program teach you to shred? like play really fast and does it teach you heavy metal style?
