Hey, I’ve been mostly strumming using the pick, but sometimes I find it a lil’ sharp (especially when singing along), and I start to use fingers and instinctively my thumb goes for a down stroke and the I do the upstroke just as u r doin’ it. Is it wrong technique to use thumb to hit all the strings in a down strum?

this was so helpful!! i’ve been learning guitar on my own and now i know why my strumming doesn’t make gud sound,, i was doing it wrong. my fren plays really well but he doesnt help, so sad.. thanks a lot for this tip!!
